The Benefits of Joining SOTA

 What is SOTA? 

SOTA stands for Student Occupational Therapy Association. This is a professional organization affiliated with the American Occupational Therapy Association and is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment to get involved in health care and the community. SOTA at UC is run by current OT students at Utica College that are in the program. 

SOTA at UC provides students with the opportunity to learn more about OT experiences, guest speakers, community service, volunteer opportunities in the community, and much more. They provide current UCOT members with services that increase our knowledge as we become professional occupational therapists and strive to raise awareness within the community

The current SOTA board is run by:

Co-Treasurers: Jessica Rozanski and Rachel Gould

Public Relations Officer: Logan Glazier

The Utica College Chapter of  Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD).

This is a student-led organization that promotes awareness and activism around diversity issues on campus and community. This is run by Oliva Kodsy who is an occupational therapy student at UC. You can see her posts on the uc_sota social media platforms!
